What is Chabad?

Chabad is a worldwide Jewish movement dedicated to sharing the beauty and joy of Judaism with every Jew.

Inspired by the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, Chabad centers around the world are welcoming homes for Torah learning, prayer, Shabbat and holiday celebrations, and meaningful community.

At Chabad of Auburn, our mission is to provide a warm and authentic Jewish home for students, families, and visitors throughout the Auburn–Opelika area.

Who We Are

Meet Rabbi Aryeh

Rabbi Aryeh Wells first developed a passion for Jewish learning and outreach while studying philosophy at Columbia University, where he experienced firsthand the transformative impact of Chabad on Campus.

After graduating, he spent several years immersed in advanced Torah study in yeshivas in Jerusalem and Brooklyn before pursuing rabbinic ordination.

Rabbi Aryeh loves teaching Torah, hosting guests around the Shabbos table, playing guitar, and helping people discover the depth and beauty of Judaism.

Meet Chana

Chana Wells grew up in a family dedicated to Jewish outreach in Troy, New York, where opening one's home to others was simply a way of life.

She is a gifted artist, educator, and mentor who enjoys helping people express their creativity while building meaningful relationships. Through art workshops, women's programming, holiday events, and warm hospitality, Chana strives to create spaces where everyone feels comfortable, inspired, and connected.
